With over 40 yrs in the breed we at ABELARA are striving to breed the total German Shepherd. Also over the years I have trained and have shown dogs and done very well in the past and the present. Along with TEAM ABELARA. I am also a specialty judge for German Shepherds.

We want our dogs to be able to work, show and perform at the top of their class and be the best family companion.

We breed from "A`Z" hip and elbow x-rayed and breed surveyed animals. All our dogs are of sound minds and body.

ABELARA Kennels are situated at Churchable about 1 1/4 hrs west of Brisbane, 15 minutes north of Gatton, nestled in amongst all the greyhound breeders.We have a large acreage property where we also breed thoroughbred horses. We have well appointed kennels and our own training grounds.

 We work to title all our dogs, by showing them in the specialty ring and also the all breeds ring.

Our dogs are not kenneled all the time as we have large exercise areas. They are our pets and part of the family and live a very good life.

Puppies are made part of the family while still with us, they play in the yard and have time in the family home. They are also raised around children. When not out they are in a puppy run.

We try and expose them to as many different situations as possible in the environment to prepare them for their future.

We only have a small number of litters each year.

We strive to stay in contact with all our puppies" owners and assist where we are able to and offer lifetime help with your newest family addition.

All our puppies will have had a vet examination, current vacination, wormed, mirochipped, tattooed and registered with the CCC of QLD, by the time they are ready to leave at eight weeks. Along with your puppy you will receive an extensive puppy passport for your puppy that includes pictures of both parents, pedigrees, copies of both parents hips and elbow scores and breed survey status. Also a diet chart and other nessecery items to assist you to rear a happy, healthy strong temperament puppy.

Our puppies are reared in the best surroundings free from harm and parasites. They are fed only the best, whilst growing to both stimulate them and also prepare the them for the road ahead.
